Tongue Depressors
Tongue depressors, sometimes referred to as spatulas, are used to depress the tongue to allow unobstructed views of the throat and mouth during clinical examinations. As these are manufactured from surgical steel, they are not subjected to bending as traditional wooden tongue depressors are. They have smooth edges for patient comfort and have a matt finish to assess airflow through misting.
The tongue depressors are disposable instruments intended for single-use. They are sterilised and come individually sealed. The Lacks tongue depressors are available in child and adult sizes and the third variant comes with a traditional flat design.
